Teaching

As a research scientist, I enjoy teaching and take the obligation to pass on the knowledge that I have learned throughout my education and research very seriously. Ultimately, I endeavor to lead students of all ages and backgrounds to think more like scientists, who study natural systems by reading, observing, asking questions, and, ultimately, by exploring those questions through self-directed research. I strive to foster an environment in my classes which encourages students of different backgrounds to ask questions, challenge scientific dogma, and question the validity of theory all the while working within and building upon a framework of good science with strong support from the scientific community.
